GFNS Nursery kicks off December with engaging traffic light activities! These fun exercises help students improve their color recognition skills while learning about traffic rules. It’s a great way to raise awareness about road safety and celebrate traffic awareness with the little ones!

To celebrate the monthly theme Transport, students created vibrant and colorful paper aeroplanes. They joyfully flew their aeroplanes while learning about different modes of air transport, making the activity both fun and educational.

Kids created cheerful Santa faces using paper and cotton and were delighted to wear them as face masks, spreading festive joy and excitement.

Students participated in a non-fire cooking activity where they made delicious sandwiches with jam, cheese and savouries. They were delighted to receive appreciation for their efforts..

A wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season! There is something special about the energy students bring to decorating Christmas tree craft - it usually results in a tree that is full of personality and "organized chaos."
The little hands used toffees and gifts as decorations is a classic touch that makes the tree feel much more interactive and rewarding than one with just standard ornaments. Using real gifts and candy builds excitement for the "onset of Christmas" and the upcoming winter break.

A fantastic transition! Moving from the collaborative Christmas tree to a tearing and pasting activity is perfect for nursery-aged children. While the tree focused on social bonding and festive cheer, this hot air balloon craft dives deep into their physical development. Tearing paper might look like "difficult" to a child, but in the world of early childhood education, it is a high-level hand eye coordination for tiny hands.

An "Animal Kingdom Tour" using models is a brilliant teaching technique to educate children on various types of animals. While tearing and pasting builds fine motor skills, interacting with 3D animal models shifts the focus to cognitive classification, spatial awareness, and sensory exploration.

Sprout Chaat Activity is a powerful sensory and educational bridge. After working with 3D animal models, this activity moves students from "observing" to "creating" something that directly fuels their own bodies. It’s a "living science" lesson where students see that food isn't just something that comes in a packet - it grows, it has texture and it can be customized.

In this activity, students create a beautiful hot air balloon using finger printing. First, a hot air balloon is drawn on the paper with a pencil. Then students dip their fingers into different colors and gently press them inside the balloon outline to make colorful fingerprint patterns. Each fingerprint adds a unique design to the balloon, making it bright and creative. This activity helps students understand that every fingerprint is different, while also improving their fine motor skills, creativity, and color recognition. Students enjoy learning through art as they decorate the sky with clouds, sun, and birds around the hot air balloon.

"Traffic Light" paper tearing and pasting activity is a fantastic way to help young children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and color recognition. It mimics the look of a traffic signal while giving little hands a great workout

Celebrating Christmas at school is a magical experience for students. Combining the classic visit from Santa Claus with gifts, treats like toffees and a lively dance party creates a festive atmosphere that kids remember for years.

Combining cheese, chocolate spread and Gems (colorful candy-coated chocolates) in a sandwich-making activity is a "sweet and savory" delight that students will love. This hands-on activity is perfect for teaching life skills, sequencing, and sensory exploration.

Making a Cotton Ball Santa is a classic school craft that kids love because of the soft, fluffy texture. It's a great sensory activity that results in a decoration they can take home for their Christmas tree. New year card was also made by the students to welcome the New Year 2026.

The children confidently delivered their lines, demonstrating teamwork, communication, and creativity. Their innocence and energy made the entire performance joyful and heartwarming.
